Storm damage? Get a free inspection with photos
After wind or hail, we’ll check your roof, gutters and siding, photograph what we find, and tell you whether it needs anything.

After a storm, BNH inspects your roof for free and photographs any damage: lifted or missing shingles, hail bruising and granule loss, bent flashing, and dented gutters. You get the photos and a plain-English read on what needs fixing. If you decide to file an insurance claim, the photos give you a clear record to share with your adjuster. We don’t promise what insurance will pay.

What storms do to a roof
- Wind: lifts shingle tabs and ridge caps, breaks the seal strip, and can tear shingles off entirely.
- Hail: bruises shingles and knocks granules loose. The damage often isn’t visible from the ground but shortens the roof’s life.
- Falling limbs: puncture decking and crack flashing.
- Gutters: dents and pulled hangers are often the first visible sign of hail or wind.
What happens at the inspection
- Houston checks the roof surface, flashing, vents, gutters and siding.
- He photographs every problem he finds, and the areas that are fine, so you have the full picture.
- He walks you through the photos and tells you what needs fixing now, what can wait, and what’s cosmetic.
About insurance
Whether to file a claim is your decision, and what gets paid is between you and your insurer. We won’t tell you a storm “totaled” your roof to win a job. If you do file, our photos and notes give you a clear, dated record of what we found.
A word on storm chasers
After big storms, out-of-town crews knock on doors promising free roofs. We don’t do that. We’re based in Ashland, we’ve been here since 2019, and we’ll be here to honor our warranty.
Questions
Common questions
Will insurance pay for my roof?
We can’t promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Coverage depends on your policy and your adjuster. What we can do is document the damage with photos and notes, so you have a clear record to share.
Do I need to call my insurance company first?
That’s up to you. Some homeowners like to know what’s actually up there before they file. Our inspection is free, so you can find out first.
How soon after a storm should I get it checked?
Soon, but there’s no need to panic. If you see an active leak, call right away. Otherwise, book an inspection in the next few days so small damage doesn’t turn into a leak.
