Siding sheds the rain that wind drives sideways and protects the wall sheathing behind it. BNH installs siding alongside our roofing and gutter work, so the trim, flashing and siding around your roofline are done by one crew and fit together the way they should.

Signs your siding needs attention
- Warped, cracked or loose panels, especially on the sides that take the weather.
- Soft spots or rot at the bottom of walls or around windows.
- Paint peeling inside, or stains on interior walls behind exterior ones.
- Gaps where siding meets trim, windows or the roofline.
Where siding meets the roof
The joint where a wall runs up against a roof is one of the most leak-prone spots on any house. It takes step flashing under the shingles and the siding lapped correctly over it. When the same crew does the roof and the siding, that joint gets done right on both sides.
How a siding estimate works
- Houston walks the whole exterior, not just the wall you called about, and checks where siding meets the roof, windows and trim.
- He photographs what he finds, including any soft or rotted wood behind the siding, and walks you through it.
- You get an itemized price. If a repair will hold, that’s what he’ll recommend. If the roof or gutters need work too, he’ll price them separately so you can decide.
Fascia, soffit and trim
The boards along your roof edge take the water that old gutters and loose trim let through. When they rot, we replace them and close up the path the water took, so the new siding and gutters have something solid to attach to.
What we install
We work with a range of siding materials, and Houston will walk you through what fits your house and budget. We do full replacements and repairs, from a whole house to one damaged section, and we match what's there as closely as we can.
Questions
Common questions
Can you do siding at the same time as my roof?
Yes. Scheduling roof, gutters and siding together means one crew and one point of contact for the whole outside of your house.
Do you repair siding, or only replace it?
Houston will look at what you have and tell you whether a repair will hold or it’s time to replace. We’ll show you photos either way.
Can you fix rotted fascia and soffit too?
Yes. Rotted fascia and soffit usually come from water getting behind old gutters or trim. We replace the damaged wood and close up the path the water took.
Do I need to replace the roof to get siding?
No. Siding can be its own project. If your roof is due soon too, doing both at once means one crew, one visit and the roof-to-wall joints done right on both sides.
Does new siding come with a warranty?
Yes. A full siding replacement carries our 5-year workmanship warranty: panels that work loose or buckle, gaps at trim and flashing, and water getting behind the siding because of how we installed it. It doesn’t cover storm or impact damage, warping from sunlight reflected off nearby windows, or siding repairs and patches. Defects in the siding itself are covered by its manufacturer’s warranty.

President
Thinking about siding? Let’s look at the whole exterior.
Houston looks at the whole exterior, photographs what he finds and gives you an itemized price for the siding, plus the roof if you want it. It’s free, and there’s no obligation.
